CD RELEASE PARTY ON THURSDAY, MARCH 23

That's right, we're playing the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA (http://www.lizardloungeclub.com).  Featured guests will include Jim Infantino, Jimmy Ryan and others to be announced.  Show starts at 9:30 PM.

GIGS IN DC AND WEST VIRGINIA

These are house concerts, so you will need to contact the host in advance in order to attend the shows.  What's a house concert?  It's a concert held at someone's house --and it's a great way to create community and support touring indie artists.  If you're curious or want to find out more, check out http://www.houseconcerts.org, or email my manager, Mary Pittari, at mailto:mary@davecrossland.com

THEY'RE ALREADY PLAYING IT ON THE RADIO

We've sent the CD to radio stations all over the USA --and a number of them have added the CD to their playlists a week early.  Thank you, all you DJ's out there, I am giddy down to my toes.

Here's one thing to know about:  the more plays we get in any given place, the more likely I'll be touring there.  So, if I haven't played your area for a while, please, do indulge and give these fine broadcasters a suggestion now and then.  Here are some of early players thus far:

WUMB - Boston, MA

WGDR - Plainfield, VT

WKZE - Sharon, CT

WETA - Washington, DC

WVIA - Wilkes-Barre, PA

WYEP - Pittsburgh, PA

WNCW - Asheville, NC

WFCF - St Augustine, FL

KFAI - Minneapolis, MN

KZSC - Santa Cruz, CA

SUNDANCE IN UTAH

What a blast.  I had a bunch of showcases all over Park City and Salt Lake.  Never knew what kind of setting I'd be walking into at any given moment, but I do thrive on chaos, and things went so well that there's a good chance I'll be back in Utah before too long --maybe before the summer.  What a trip.  I hung out with my good friends Tom Prasada-Rao and Cary Cooper of the Dreamsicles (http://www.thedreamsicles.com) made a few new musician friends, met some directors, and even got to see a few films.  My favorite was Madeinusa, directed by Claudia Llosa of Peru.

FOLK ALLIANCE IN AUSTIN

Got back the other day and I'm still exhausted.  Things went great --I made a bunch of new friends and got to reconnect with a lot of good people I hadn't seen in a while.  Nearly everybody I ran into at the conference had nice things to say about the new CD, not just the music but the cover art as well.  Probably the highlight of the conference for me was doing a showcase in-the-round with Tom Kimmel (http://www.tomkimmel.com) and Gretchen Peters (http://www.gretchenpeters.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=26).  They are both exceptional writers.  Thank you to Neale Eckstein for inviting me to play.  --And thank you, Austin!

I'd also like to thank my entire team.  It was great that everybody was there:  Mary Pittari, Dawn Kamerling, Biff Kennedy, Steve Garvan and the BAG.  I still can't get over having such a great group of people to work with and keep me out of trouble --or in, depending on how you look at things....

THANK YOU EVERYBODY

Most of all, I'd like to thank all of you out there who have kept up with me and waited so patiently for this recording.  I've worked pretty hard to get things to this point, and knowing that there are so many people out there who care about what I do makes a huge, huge difference in the life of yours truly.

That's it for now.  Coming soon will be mp3 downloads, more radio news, and more information on the CD release concert.  And, as always, if you would like to help us out in any way, whether it's hosting a house concert, letting us know about a venue in your area, or anything at all, please don't hesitate to contact my manager, Mary Pittari, at mailto:mary@davecrossland.com and give her the scoop.

Be well, hope to see you all out there, and thanks so much to everyone.

~Dave
