In good company

Dave Crossland, Somerville's answer to sensitive troubadour Damien Rice, has shared stages with Dar Williams and Nanci Griffith, and his latest album, "Pearl," was produced by folks who have worked with Susan Tedeschi. That should clue you in on Crossland's style. Like those artists, Crossland (right) is a thoughtful singer-songwrit-er who pairs his distinctive voice with acoustic guitar. Tonight at 9:30, Crossland visits the Lizard Lounge for a CD-release party. Tickets: $10.
Lizard Lounge, 1667 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, 617-547-0759.
