A Hammer, A Bell, And A Song To Sing - Back At The SD Rep (through Dec 2, 2012)

A Hammer A Bell And A Song To Sing - Back At The SD Rep through Dec 2 2012
That's right, I'm back in San Diego for a return engagement of "A Hammer, A Bell, And A Song" at the San Diego Repertory Theatre.  Some of you may remember last year when I was cast to play Pete Seeger in an original play at the SD Rep.  Halfway through rehearsals, we got word that Pete no longer felt comfortable having his life portrayed on stage, and in a very bold move, the theatre decided to let us write a completely new original show and put it up for the public --in the span of two weeks!  Turned out, the show was a hit, complete with sellout crowds and standing O's every night.  (Nothing like a little pressure to make you produce!)

And so, for the first time in SD Rep history, the theatre has brought back an original play for the following season.  It's a very visual and moving production that traces the historical role of music through times of social change.  We've had a great run so far --opened on Nov 10, and now there's only a week and change left until we close on Dec 2!  So if you or anyone you know is in the area, come see yours truly and friends on the grand ole stage of the Lyceum Theatre!
